This piece was inspired in the spring of 1985, after a winter of depression, which culminated in a reflection of what our sights should really be on.

The death of our Christ on the cross flanked by two other crosses. His death, resulting in new life for all who repent. The cross represents Christs unspeakable suffering on our behalf, the blooming flower at the bottom of the front cross represents new life offered to us if we just ask.

Bible verse: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth on him should have everlasting
