I started preaching about three years ago, and at first, I found I was a bundle of nerves leading up to the sermon. Cold, sweaty hands, nervous smile, constantly acknolwedging my nervousness to others.

With feedback from trusted friends in the church and my pastor, much prayer, and a little elbow grease, I have honed my skills considerably from the first time I spoke in front of the congregation. Remember, I am not trained in the art of delivering sermons. Although I've had a fair bit of experience in public speaking because of my day jobs, I totally relied on God for the development and delivery of sermons.

Feel free to download any of these free sermons. Don't feel bad about wanting/needing help, I firmly believe God gave me these skills and words to help others.

Mind you, I am by no means a professional. However, I have received positive feedback from the congregations I've preached these sermons in, so I know I didn't bore some of them to death!

At the very least, they should guide your creativity. Besides, everybody needs a break once in a while...

  This sermon tackles the perception of Christianity, and how we can change it.
• Kids sermon about Joshua (MS Powerpoint sermon)
  This is a children's sermon, which goes over the story of Joshua and Walls of Jericho. I dressed up as an old Joshua and told the story in first person.
• Losing Gracefully (MS Powerpoint sermon)
  I cover how to deal with tough times and how God uses them to strengthen us.
• Language of Love (MS Powerpoint sermon)
  I define what love is from God's persepective, and how God "loves" us.
• You Had Me at Hello (MS Powerpoint sermon)
  I talk about communication with God. What medium God uses, noise reduction, feedback, clearing the static.
• Passion Flaky (MS Word sermon)
  Psalms 19. David is passionate about God in this psalm, to the point he sounds drunk. I talk about David's passion, and what this psalm teaches us.
